A welcome surprise (or a blast from the past)

Last week (just before we went to the lake) I got an unexpected call from a childhood friend that I haven't seen in say 15 years or more. She and her family were going to their lake house 2 hours away from us and she wanted to stop by and see us. So we spent this Tuesday together catching up. I showed her all the important sights of town.

And they love blueberries so we went picking. It was really really hot that day.
But the heat is great for the corn!
