Other chicken news - Now that the fryers are gone, we tore down the fence separating the fryers from the new layers and gave the whole area to the new layers. And my dh and the boys built a roast so that the silly birds would stop trying to perch on the feeder or the window sills.

this is true. my contacts are a little dry right now. our computer room runs very hot, and we have a window a.c. unit and a standup fan running. my contacts dry out farily easy. when i saw the number 3000, i rubbed and rubbed my eyes. surely, that's an extrea zero, right. then i saw it again. 3000.
