Deep Snow Drifts

Before all the snow melts away, we wanted to show you how high the snow piles are in the grocery store parking lots. Now a lot of snow has already melted due to the rain today, but it's still pretty high.

You know, yesterday I was driving past that same part of town, looking at the huge heaps of snow on both sides of me, and thought to myself, "maybe this is how it feels to live in Alaska" ... It certainly did seem like we ended up with more snow total than previous years. Maybe it just didn't melt in between?

It's a lot darker in Alaska still!

We just got more snow this year. My dh read in the paper that we've gotten over 65 inches of snow this winter.
