Happy Reformation Day
We had another family over on Friday for dinner and a bonfire. Nathan made some Technicolor Acorns for decorations.
A close up of one on his acorns.
We also carved our pumpkins. These are the biggest jack-o-lanterns we've grown and they gave us plenty of space to make great faces. But they were so thick that it was hard for the younger children to completely cut through the flesh.

happy belated Reformation day. What are Nathan's acorns made out of?
Fun pumpkins, too!
They are made with tissue paper and glue. We got the idea from a Family Fun magazine article.
bonfire? cool.
Yes, there is nothing like a bonfire on a crisp October night, with the stars overhead and the mysterious woods all around you. Perfect kid heaven.
