A Real Easter Egg
Our new Dominiques and Araucanas have started to lay eggs. Nathan and Stephen are happy because they can begin to sell the extra eggs. I'm happy since I will now have enough eggs for our family to eat.

I thought chickens didn't lay much in the winter?
If you fool them in thinking that the sun is still up, they will lay. Their laying is dependent on the sun. They lay best when they see 14 or 15 hours of light. So we put a lamp in their coop on a timer and give them those 15 hours of light.
