Aaron created this Star Wars picture (with a little help from me). I helped him with the concept and showed him how to use the compass to make a perfectly round Death Star. He drew all the TIE fighters and X-wings and B-wings himself.

The Last Sledding Day
A couple of weeks ago, I realized that we were going to lose our snow so I called up friends and invited them to the sledding hill in town.
Sometimes the long train that starts at the top of the hill...
... falls apart before half of them have actually started!
And some were trying the hand at making it down standing up on the sleds. Aaron got pretty far this time.
Deborah was the most photogenic this time. Or at least she may have been going slow enough for me to get some good pictures of her.

Nathan's first squirrel
Nathan shot his first squirrel last month. He was pretty proud of it. (and so was his dad). It was a big buck squirrel. And yes, we intend to eat it. Right now it is in our freezer awaiting the perfect squirrel recipe.
Winter Photos
This last week has melted most of the snow. The sap run seems to be coming to an early end, much to my dismay. We don't have nearly enough sap to even make the same amount of syrup as we did this year.
Here are some pics I took when the snow was deeper and made great pictures.
A beautiful sunrise that Deborah alerted me to.
I made some ice candles this year. They didn't last long because the temp kept hovering around freezing. These have cranberries in them.
